The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Libraries’ Digital Media Experience (DME) Lab is a maker space allowing TMU students to explore fabrication, coding, media, and electronics in a beginner-friendly setting.

Client: TMU Libraries’ Digital Media Experience (DME) Lab
Project Description: Create a visual brand for the DME derived from the TMU Libraries brand that encapsulates the innovative and technological elements of the space, for use in cross-platform promotional materials.
Design Goals: Ensure visual consistency with the TMU Libraries brand while establishing differentiation through colour, graphic device use, and designing a set of icons.
Postcard
Project Description: Design a postcard introducing the TMU community to the DME.
Design Goals: Showcase the new visual brand and icons, establish connection between text elements and icons through colour, create a strong sense of hierarchy amongst text elements.
Poster
Project Description: Create a poster to be displayed outside of the DME and taken to campus events to promote the DME.
Design Goals: Keep content minimal and design simple while showcasing the visual brand.
Digital Signage and Social Media Graphics
Project Description: Design social media assets and digital screens to promote the DME to the TMU community. Highlight different segments of the DME’s programming: coding, fabrication, media creation, electronics.
Design Goals: Showcase the visual brand while focusing on one segment per graphic.
Featured Workshops Promotions
Project Description: Create social media assets and digital screens that promote featured DME workshops.
Design Goals: Utilize the DME visual brand and incorporate a featured image that can be alternated when the featured workshops change.
